How can I improve my speed in the 1500m?

I run about 12 miles a week (more or less) and I eat vegetables and stuff so is say I'm fairly healthy. I am 4'8 and I weigh about 87lbs. I was wondering how I could improve my speed

I am a distance swimmer. I can tell you breathing patter is key. Almost everyone else in the world breathes every two strokes, while i breathe four.it works for me,and since you run a lot, your cardio should be up for that challenge. Also work on your turns, and hydrate with a whole bottle of water 10 minutes before you race, and eat half a powerbar 5 minutes before you race. Those things will help you keep your indurance throughout the race. Hope this helps!
