Now that the Supreme Court changed the definition of marriage, is society collapsing?
We have no more morals with the rulings that "struck down Section 3 of DOMA, which limited the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman for the purposes of federal benefits, as a violation of the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of equal protection under the law."

"In a separate opinion, the court ducked a decision on Proposition 8 by finding that supporters of the California law did not have standing to appeal a federal district court ruling that struck it down. By doing so, the justices let stand the lower-court ruling that had found the ban unconstitutional."
Also, the supreme court calls the state ban on marriage "unconstitutional". This is a violation of states rights!

Interesting. DOMA didn't even exist until the 1990's. How pray tell did the world manage to get married and raise children in the absence of this all protective law

That mistake was made the day when marriage, once a religious ceremony, became under both federal and state rule of law. It is neither a state right or a federal right but a HUMAN RIGHT, and our rights are inherently ours to begin with... that is until we give them away to a government to regulate for us in the name of excuses such as "national security" or "the collective good of the People". And who usually uses terms like those? Politicians serving that government.

Every time people get equal rights, those who keep them down, keep them unequal, start the doomsday rhetoric. Sorry to disappoint you, but the sky is not falling. You obviously have a lot to learn about the benefits of equality, the basic tenet America was founded on. Or maybe you don't hold American values.

All the men and women who wants to/would have gotten married, still will, wether or not some extra men decide to marry aswell (Who wouldn't have married a woman, regardless)
In other words, you have the same number of "Normal" (You'll have to excuse my lack of a better word) marriages in the end.
This is comon logic, and I really cannot understand why society would be collapsing because of that fact.

As long as the Supreme Court does not rule that gay marriage is MANDATORY, we'll all be just fine. You will continue to enjoy all the rights to get married that you always have. All this means is that everyone else will, too.

The govt has no business in marriage at all. It is a religious institution not a secular one.
