Anyone else care about Wendy Davis?

I won't explain too much to see if you already know. If you don't then please Google her!

It seems like people are only focusing on the Prop 8 victory and not on SB5 and the amazing woman that stood against it.

Update:

@εℓℓε -Yesssss I want a pair of those pink shoes xD

@pigpenguin91 -Huh O.o Maybe it's just where I am. I mean twitter and tumblr just exploded but there was no mainstream media coverage. I had to watch a cell phone stream to see what was going on!

Really? I've seen lots of support for her and all of her amazing work. It seems like there's a lot out there thanking her for what she did. But anyways, yes, I definitely care about her. She did an amazing thing, and because of her women's reproductive rights in Texas will not be drastically reduced.

EDIT:@FrancisLehr The bill, if passed, would make abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy illegal. It would also hold abortion clinics to very specific requirements, such has having surgical grade equipment. If it passed, it would have shut down 37 of the 42 abortion clinics, leaving abortion services provided in only large cities, meaning women would be forced to turn to unsafe abortion methods. It wouldn't stop abortions, it would only make them much riskier and unsafe.

Yes...******* Tumblr, man. My whole goddamn dashboard was feminism this morning. Like, not even kidding. I can't believe that mainstream media wasn't covering it, though. So disappointing :(

    Yes! She's so badass. <3

She was a single mother at 19 who went from community college to Harvard law. I think that's pretty admirable in itself. And there's the shoes... Those pink shoes!

I care that it is impossible to find an unbiased news article about what happened. I care that I cannot find what was actually in the bill, except the fact that it was relating to abortion.

It's only republican news sources calling it a sad day, and democratic news sources saying it's a victory.
