Am I tall for my age or are my friends just short?
hi. so I'm 14 and I'm 5'6 or maybe 5'7 but I think 5'6. but i think im pretty much done growing. most of my friends are Philipino or Mexican, so they're naturally not very tall. my best friend is only a inches shorter than me, and there's a lot of girls my height. but everyone is so short!!! why?!
my friends always mess around because I'm like a head taller than them, but they're like 5'2-4'0. so am I actually to tall for my age? I like my height, but I'm just wondering

It's just in your genes :) There is a big possibility that all or most of your ancestors are tall too! Another reason is that girls mature faster than guys. It is natural for females to start growing once they hit their period. Boys, on the other hand, start growing when they are about 15 or 16 :) Don't worry, once they hit that age, their heights will shoot right up! Oh and another fact is that you're American. Americans are naturally tall! And well, let's just say that Filipinos are lucky if they reach 5"5 :))

So yah, it's not really abnormal for you to be 5"6 ^^ There are a lot of factors affecting growth :) You're just one of the lucky ones! <3 hahahaha
