Need an answer about a car accident in Texas.?
I was recently in a car-collusion. I was stop at an intersection, leaving a car dealership, attempting to make a right turn on to the main road. A car traveling on the main road activated their right turn signal. I pulled onto the main road while she continues to travel straight and our cars collided.
She clearly showed intent to make the right turn into the dealership therefore, leaving the lane open for me. Right? This happen in Killeen, Tx. I read their Traffic Code but nothing helpful, except that using the turn signal shows intent.

It shows intent, but is it intent to turn into the dealership or to turn at the next intersection? It may even be intent to sucker you into causing an accident. The traffic code requires you to yield to oncoming traffic. Although the turn signal shows intent, it doesn't show where the turn will take place. Never rely on the other driver. You are particularly burdened if you were exiting private property as opposed to being already on a public roadway.
