If I use Disney eTicket how does the fastpass work?
Me and my family are planning to go to disneyland next month and we are looking into tickets and the only free option is printing your own ticket and since we live in canada it is $25 to ship and we do not want to wait in line to get the ticket and since it is printed that means it is a big paper that would not work with the fastpasses machines. Me and my family are very aware of how the disney world fastpasses works and how the ticket needs to be but since this will be our first visit to disneyland we dont know that maybe there is a different way to use the fastpasses. So how does it work if we use eTicket?

When you print the tickets at home you bring that "E-Ticket" with you to Disneyland. When you do your first entry at either Disneyland or CA Adventure they will scan and take the "E-Ticket" and give you a regular paper ticket. It is that ticket that you will use from that point on to enter/re-enter the park(s) and for FastPass.
EDIT: The answer below is incorrect. If you select the Print at Home option(E-Ticket), you can go directly to any main entrance turnstyle and they will exchange the ticket right there. There is no need(and hasn't been for several years) to do this at the Ticket Booths or Will Call.

If you do not want to wait in line for a ticket, you will have to pay to have it shipped.
You can get the eticket, but it is a voucher that must be exchanged for an actual ticket at the Ticket booths or at Will Call (some say even at the entry gates). You will, unfortunately, have to wait in line to redeem your voucher. Once exchanged for an actual ticket, you can use your ticket in any FastPass machine.
