Well I believe both played college basketball at least.
Could be numerous reasons:
1) Branch out from your dad's shadow....after all they would never be as good as MJ.
2) Naturally not as inclined, they are both shorter and statistically speaking probably less athletic because MJ was ridiculously lucky genetically and that might not pass on perfectly to his sons.
3) Raised in a more privileged environment, maybe they didn't have the hunger or work ethic or determination to succeed the way MJ did.
At the end of the day, there is a lot that goes into someone becoming an NBA player. Just because someone shares half your chromosomes it doesn't mean they will too.

Just because he is good doesn't mean his sons are. They might not want to play basketball just because their dad did doesn't mean they will also play. Just like joe Montana's sons suck at football.
