R&P: Blues Rock Recommendations?
Helloooo R&P!! :-)
I have been on a blues rock kick for awhile now, but I need some new recommendations. Old or new, it doesn't matter. What I am looking for is along the lines of these artists:
Gov't Mule
Derek Trucks
Black Country Communion
The Blackwater Fever
Joe Bonamassa
The Jeff Healey Band
The Fumes
The Black Crows
Robin Trower
The Black Keys
Anything Paul Rodgers
BQ: Top 5 albums of 2013 so far...
BQ2: Most treasured vinyl record(s)? or most treasured CD, tape or music related item?
Thanks everybody for your answers, have a great weekend!! ♥
@Doug~ Yes! You've given me plenty, thank you so much. I agree QOTSA- Like Clockwork is pretty darn good.
@Mr Tambourine Man~ Great choices, those are all my favorites :p
@SARA ~ I'll consider anything thank you.
@Dave~ WOW! Cant say I know anyone that still has their albums that they bought as a teenager 50 years ago and still plays them. Even my Dad who says he once had a couple hundred albums, either lost them or they were stolen...or who knows. He managed to hang on to a few though. Thanks for the recs....lots to listen to there. Much appreciated.

The Stone Foxes are good, check out Black Rolling Thunder or Im a King Bee. Junior Kimbrough is awesome, The Black Keys made a "cover" album of his songs called Chulahoma. The Rolling Stones have some awesome blues stuff in their catalog. Dan Auerbach solo stuff is great. The White Stripes are one of my favorites too, check out the song 300 Mph Torrential Outpour Blues. Dead Wheather. Alabama Shakes are a cool new band
BQ1: Frightened Rabbit-Pedestrian Verse, QOTSA- Like Clockwork, Daft Punk- Random Access Memories,
BQ2: Vinyl: My Zeppelin collection, Who Collection, and Stones Collection- especially Exile on Main Street. Sounds goofy but Greenday Dookie, and Paul Simon Graceland.
Hope ive given you some stuff to check out

Savoy Brown
Ten Years After
John Mayall's Blues Breakers.
Foghat
Chicken Shack
Jeff Beck
Z Z Top
Delaney & Bonnie
Keef Hartley Band
Johnny Winter
Wishbone Ash
Black Cat Bones
BQ: Don't really know at this time.
BQ: All of them, they all are from my youth which I bought on first release, and that details about just over 3000 vinyl albums. How many other people do you know that have kept all the music they bought or most of it, for well over 50 years and still plays they same old vinyl which just sounds as good today as it did yesterday.
take care

Some of my favorite bands:
Derek and the Dominos
Cream
BB King
older Alice Cooper has a nice bluesy feel but the newer stuff is more heavy metal
Neil Young
Jethro Tull (isn't really blues but has a lot of blues influence)
And of course anything else Eric Clapton.
