Why does Yahoo mail make me type in my user id and password every time?

Question

I have a HP PC with Windows Vista. If I leave Internet Explorer and lock my computer, when I come back to Yahoo mail, I have to type my user id and password. I have the box checked to "remember me." Its very frustrating. The result is that I have to type in my user id several times a day, even though I checked the box and I'm the only one on this machine.   

Note:  I'm on a cable modem with a router. And one other person sometimes uses the other PC to go into Yahoo, but she would have a different IP address, right?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue. Can you confirm which version of Internet Explorer it is that you're using? To troubleshoot please try using a different web browser such as Chrome or Firefox to see if you're having the same issue.
