How do I set up a powerline LAN?

My grandmother had her carpet replaced, so we had to pack up the computer, and now when I went to set it back up for her, the internet will not work. The computer was originally set up with an Asoka PlugLink thing. I haven't seen these before, but from my understanding, there is one hooked directly to the router and plugged into the wall, data is transmitted through the AC power system and to another PlugLink that goes from the wall, into the desktop computer.

The router and modem were never uninstalled, and the wireless internet is working right now, as I am posting this from my laptop. Any ideas for what the issue could be? It shouldn't need the driver re-installed or anything.

Powerline Ethernet adapters use various security methods to insure that the signal goe to the correct place.

Get out the manual and see how to reset the units to factory defaults and then go through the "pairing procedure"

Also make sure you have them plugged directly into outlets. You cannot have them plugged into a powerstrip. The twist in the cable messes things up
