BIRD LOVERS AND EXPERTS PLEASE HEEEEEELP!?!?

SOME of my budgies poop is really wet, runny, clear and colorless but most of it is green and white, normal. Also everything else is normal, they eat, sleep, play, fly around, chirp, and groom each other. So are they sick????? I want to know right away! I'm not playing with my birds lives!

Update:

I got my budgies about 6 months ago, but I HAVE changed their diet lately. maybe that's it. Oh and another important thing is I noticed my other two budgies have normal droppings, it's just my one younger budgie with the strange droppings. (Note: she's also the one who seemed to like the new food more, and I tried giving her the old food but she now only eats the new food. My budgies with normal droppings will eat both the new food and old food. Does this mean anything?)

Im really worried, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!

P.S. Please don't say I need to take them to the vet, unless I really need to. My parents don't want to spend too much money on the vet (like most). Only if its important.

Update 2:

Oh and Shuana, thanks, Im taking your advice and cleaning the cage every day. The links also helped.

    Hello,

Have you had these birds a while or did you just get them? If you just purchased them did you notice if the cages at the store were dirty with the same problem? If so I'd return the birds for a refund as they may have an ailment that could end up costing you a lot more than you paid to begin with.

If you've had them for a while, in other words longer than a few weeks, have you changed anything in their diet? How long has the poop been runny? And, how much is "some". Occasionally birds so pass just urine without stool and the result is what you describe. But, that is not the norm and if you're seeing it in a lot of the droppings I'd be inclined to take them to a vet that has some avian experience.

I used to have both budgies and parakeets when I was younger. Now I raise ducks, who live indoors. One of my girls is just starting to look like she'll live through peritonitis from being egg bound. Luckily we know all the girls habits so we were able to catch it early. This is the first day since last Tuesday that her breath hasn't felt hot. The survival rate for peritonitis in ducks is only 10%. I say this because the best thing you can do for your birds lives is to know their habits and behaviors as individuals. That way if something changes you can get it treated early.

If it were me I'd clean the cage and keep track of the droppings for the rest of today. If it's still funny looking by morning I'd call the vet. The two links today are really informative and might be helpful.

Good luck and I hope they're all healthy.

    Your birds are quite normal.

Birds poop allot. Every 20 minutes or so although the bigger breeds of parrots can go longer. Birds do not urinate (pee) - it all comes out of one place - the green is the fecal matter (poop) and the white is the urates (pee). Reptiles do the same thing - you get the nasty green with the white uratic acids and clear fluids.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. I have 4 of the smaller parrots - quaker, sun conure, and two green cheeks.
