Would it be humanly possible to?
study Chinese and Japanese together?
At the university I have two options:
Study:
1) English (3 years), Chinese ( 3 years), German (2 years)
2) English (2 years), Chinese (3 years), Japanese (2 years)
I am oriented towards the second one, but can anybody suggest if it's possible to study Chinese and Japanese together without making a big confusion? Please help

for the talking part. yes. i mean Xie Xie ni and arigato..a bit obvious difference will eb no confusion there.
in japanese they use hiragana, katakana and kanji, kanji are chinese characters however some kanji have the same meaning in japanese and chinese but some have different meanings so they might be confused together.
like this for example 手紙 means letter in japanese but toilet paper in chinese. so beware when it comes to that.. that was kanji btw.
but if your interest lies in chinese and japanese i would go for it. just take the second course and be sure to remember which is which.
