capacitor with different plate areas?

can we have a single parallel-plate capacitor with different plates having different area?

    Yes,we can have a parallel-plate capacitor with different plates having different area, in such case the effective plate area will be the plate area of smaller plate i.e if one plate has area A and other has area A/2 then effective area of capacitor will be A/2.

    you can have two plates with different areas which can also store plenty of + or - charges
