When does the iPhone 5s or 6 come out?

The iPhone 5S is said to have a release date this year in August, September, or October.

MacRumors said that Walmart would begin offering the iPhone 5 at a $60 discount and the iPhone 4 at a $50 discount, hinting that the price drop is to make room for the new iPhone 5S coming out soon. The prices will be permanent, available in-store and require signing a new 2-year contract with Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T.

Rumors say that the new iPhone 5S will have a new super HD camera/screen, a better battery, NFC, and "possible updates include an IGZO screen for Retina+ 128GB storage." It may also come in 6-8 colors, similar to the iPod Touch, and will be thinner and lighter than its previous version and fingerprint reader technology. It may also have a price of $199, just like the current iPhone 5.

The iPhone 6 may have a 12-megapixel sensor, up from the 8-megapixel version of the iPhone 5. It could be waterproof with a 4.8-inch Retina+ HD display with a 3D cameraand fingerprint reader. In terms of storage, the next-generation smartphone will come with 128GB instead of the current 64GB. Also, the iPhone 6 may have an indoor mapping feature, NFC integrating with Passbook App for storing store cards, tickets and coupons integrating with NFC. It will have a smart bezel and may have a quad-core Apple A7, using ARM Cortex A15-based cores, or update A6. The iPhone 6 also may have iOS 7 and be made out of plastic and cheaper, with a release date of June 2014.

Open a calendar to any autumn month, then throw a dart at it: whatever date you hit, you've got as much chance of getting the official launch date correct as some of the so called experts. For example, a recent rumour suggested that the iPhone 5S would launch on 20th September.

This date was based on the fact that iOS 6 was released 100 days after the OS was unveiled; add 100 days on to the iOS 7 reveal and you get the 18th September. Given that new hardware arrives with a new operating system, and Apple releases hardware on a Friday, that would give us a 20th September launch. That's all well and good, but it's important to remember that iOS 5 was announced on the 6th June 2011, but it wasn't actually released until 12th October 2011. In other words, Apple doesn't have a specific pattern and it will release products when it's ready.

That doesn't mean that late September is out of the question, as an autumn launch seems the most likely. This follows information hinted at by Tim Cook in Apple's earnings call. In the call, Cook suggested that Apple won't launch new products until Autumn.

Maybe iPhone 6 will be released in 2014..

Up to now,no one knows when the iphone 5s or 6 is gonna be release.All those release dates that are posted by people are just rumors.I would say stop assuming from reading blogs and wait for the actual announcement from the company apple itself.But if you are asking us to assume,I'd say the iphone 5s would be coming during the September-October timeframe and the iphone 6 being the major upgrade being released in 2014 either in Q1 or Q2 2014.:)

Good thing you asked here! The hundreds of tech sites all over the web don't know, but this site has one user that hides in a corner and only answers that one question when it comes up here.

Rumours are the 5S will be Sept/Oct like the 5, and then moving to six-month cycles with the 6 expected June 2014. But, it's all rumor and speculation.

The iphone 6 is coming out in 2013 or 2013 in June
