How can I ask a girl to hang out without it sounding like a date?

Ok so I am friends with this girl and a while back I used to have feelings for her she said no I respected that I moved away and I found out a few days ago that's shes down in my area for a week volunteering for something, I want to ask if she wants to hang out while shes down but im worried that she might think Im asking her on a date because of feelings I use to have of her (I don't have them any more I moved on) any help?

Well , I don't think you have moved very far . lol...that's not a terrible thing . But you most likely haven't gone too far or you wouldn't even be bothering to ask a question here. BUT this is my advice . since you've kept good enough tabs on her that you know shes coming and basically where she will be ...why don't you "accidentally" run into her . plan it strategically and when your eyes meet DON"T look like a puppy dog ...look like the self confident guy you are ...and smile and say wow , long time , where have YOU been? like you didn't even think about her after she left until that very moment . It will begin a conversation ....that might not ever end . GOOD LUCK!! and thanks for the question!

talk to her and ask her if she would like to go do some thing with you. Have something specific in mind like a shoping date at a particulare time. Tell her that you hve just move there and have few friends. when you met her you thought that she could be one so you took a chance and here you are. She will probable be a little flattered that you thought she was a nice person and you will probably have a very nice story to tell about how the two of you became friends. Honest is the best way to go here.

How would you ask you buddies to hang out? Think of it that way. Easy. If your too nervous to ask even like that then maybe you should think about asking her out on a real date. You never know what just growing some courage and asking a girl you like out can lead to. And i know its cliche, but whats the worst that can happen, she says no. She might have changed her mind from before, never know. But if your friends and want to hang as friends then just talk to her like you would with any other friends.

Just bring up the idea of the activity. For example "oh you heard about that zombie move?" and when she's like yeah I did or whatever say "I'm going with some friends if you wanna tag along I think you'd love it" Do something along those lines. You're inviting her but you're also going with friends so it's a group thing. And you also included she's tagging along so its like she's going because no one really invited her. So its like a nice/mean way of inviting her without sounding like your all over her. '

Or just ask her to hang out with some friends or that you'd like to hang out and catch up.

Casually let her know that you arent interested in her anymore like that. Just let her know that youve moved on, but dont say it. Dont be all "YEAH I MOVED ON I DONT HAVE FEELINGS FOR YOU ANYMORE, I SWEAR." Let it be known through your actions and be purely friendly to her. Nothing sexual or too affectionate. Maybe hint that you have a love life going on.

To make it even more not date-like maybe invite a friend you two were close with and have a threeway hang out. (LOL THREEWAY SO SEXUAL) That way she cant feel like its datelike, but more like friend reunion for a week.

    Good luck bud

Make it casual. Say, "Hey, we should hang out. You know, act like best buddies and stuff. It'll be cool." Or you can bring along other friends, that way, she won't take it as a date.

Just ask her to spend her birthday with you and gift her by giving a special dinner at some nice place where you and onle she are there...
