    3x+2y-z =5

    put x=3, y=-1 and z =2

    3(3) +2(-1) -(2) =5

    9 -2-2 =5

    5=5 Yes

    4x+2y-2z =6

    4(3) +2(-1)-2(2) =6

    12 -2 -4 =6

    6=6 yes

    x+y-5z=12

    3-1-10 +12

    -9+12 No

    Sunny - all you have to do is to see if those three numbers satisfy (i.e. "fit") those three equations: for 1st equation, 3*3 + 2*(-1) - 2 = 9 - 2 - 2 = 5, so that one is fine. Now you do the same with the other two equations, to see if they work out. Question (2) is even easier - you have to do exactly the same, but you only have to check two equations.
