Need help with a s10 build?

I have a 502 Chevy big block I also have a 1998 s10 i am going to pull the motor out I got the 502 big block out of a 1969 the transmission is in there also but my question is do i need to change the transmission to the one that was in the camaro and do i need to change the motor mounts and the transmission mounts to make it fit also will the motor fit right in the s10 or do i need to cut the frame rail and extend them out alot of questions in this but any answer will help thanks

    You will need to take the transmission with the 502. No it will not fit without frame modifications. My son built out a '99 S15 with a 502 Muci and it took several weeks to modify the engine compartment. That engine is almost twice the size of whatever may come in a factory S10. Drive shaft will need to be modified and you will probably want to put a different rear end in it because the first time you get into that beast, you will leave the gears way behind you.
