Neutering does not solve the problem. All it does is remove the testicles which removes the male hormones. no male hormones means less urge to be 'male'. BUT, it takes WEEKS for the hormones to completely leave the body.

You know what really works? TRAINING.

You have to keep a close eye on him. If he looks like he's going to mark (usually excessive sniffing of a single spot), you make a sharp noise to startle him out of it (a yip or a clap works), and take him right outside. You MUST do this EVERY TIME.

When you cannot keep a close eye on the dog, confine him to a single small room, OR a crate.

Clean every single spot he has ever marked thoroughly with special pet odor removing cleaner. This will completely eliminate his scent so it doesn't encourage him to re-mark.

I don't know where you got the idea that removing his balls will fix a behavior. it will only help a little bit. but YOU have to train him.

Having him fixed won't compensate for the lack of toilet training. Nor will it help, if he is left alone for a long time. My male dogs never peed in the house after they were toilet train, nevertheless if they were left alone for more than three hours, I suspect that they would.

Dogs need to be taken for long walks, they also need to be taken into your garden/yard to allow them to pee and poo.

For now, you must re-clean your floor and carpets, then start a toilet training schedule.

    CLEANING UP AFTER ACCIDENTS.

After a dog has urinated or defecated in the house, obviously you will clean this up. Perhaps you think that you have got rid of the smell and your friends will possibly confirm this, however your dog will still be aware of a smell. Your dog thinks that your house is a lavatory/toilet; dogs have a much greater sense of smell than we have.

There is a washing machine powder called Ariel get the BIOLOGICAL version Or get some special cleaning solution from the pet shop and clean your floor with this.

When your dog urinates outside and when it is in full flow use a catch phrase I say “get one”, always use the same catch phrase when your dog obliges. Praise profusely afterwards, let your dog sniff around the garden or yard and play with it.

If your dog urinates on the floors or carpets that you have cleaned, you have not cleaned them enough and you will need to do them again. NEVER EVER USE PINE DISINFECTANT OR BLEACH BECAUSE THIS ENCOURAGES A DOG TO URINATE,
