what do I do about my granddaughter who is suddenly using heroin after 5 years of being clean?
I think she is mentally becoming crazy, and now she has two little kids whose welfare I am concerned with. I talk to her but she either doesn't or is unable to listen and is of course quite argumentative.

Well first thing to understand is that people who use drugs are not understanding the repercussions of their actions. Thats why what age someone starts using drugs is the age they stay in that maturity. We learn from our mistakes that makes us mature. Someone who is on drugs won't mature. What you have to do is tough love her. You have to say if you do not stop using drugs than I'm cutting you cold turkey out of my life. She needs to go to rehab. Once you are a pickle you can't go back to being a cucumber.
I had to do this with someone I love.
