Skipping while taking a PK?

Why do some people do this? It's sort of like a skip when they're approaching the ball to kick it. Everybody on my team does this and their shots are perfect and on goal. I don't skip and I have a lot of problems with taking PK's (like shooting way too high, completely missing, etc). Does anybody else do this/notice this?

Skipping would offset the keeper because skipping isn't going the same pace as would running up to the ball and striking. Something I do when running up to the ball to take a PK is I stutter step when I am about to hit the ball. It really messes the keeper up because taking/saving a pk is hard and puts you on the edge. If you are having troubles with taking PK's you should just practice them if you really wanted to. It's not about power it's all about technique and placement. Hitting the middle of the ball with the inside of your foot to either corner. Keeps the ball low and un-savable. Hope I answered you question and helped you out a little with PKs.
