Do Americans play cricket?

The game is played in the USA, but not at a national level. Long ago there were cricket clubs in Philadelphia and New York. Even in California it was played (in Hollywood too). But it never took hold and baseball superseded cricket everywhere. The USA does, or did, have an annual cricket match against Canada. Although the game was, and is, played in the US, the players are usually of British or West Indian origin.

Cricket is played in other countries besides the ones you cited. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka both have national teams and are members of the ICC. There are African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, etc that have national teams, although none are in the ICC as full members. Even Afghanistan has a cricket team!

They have a national side and participated in international tournaments. But their team almost composed with West Indians ,Indians mainly. Or either the descendants of cricket playing countries. I have not seen any real american give real interest in cricket and don't expect them to be. I like to see natives of non tast palying countries to participate in international level rather than migrants to fill the national colours.
