Is this your reaction when you see a homeless person?

No, I just think of how lucky I was to have friends who let me sleep on their couches when I was dead broke.

Your big time right it is! I was homeless for three years of my life before I started living an actual life. Never drank, never did drugs, it was a longing for my own experiences that drove me into that state. I went to soup kitchens and worked odd jobs, usually construction. Lol I used to laugh at those people all the time. I'll bet you they thought I was out of my mind. I thought before I was homeless that all those politically incorrect jokes about them were mean and hurtful lol but the truth is they make so much freaking sense because its true! lol I used to have a really childish name for them, Poop Smelling Crack Babies because it always smelled like they were wearing diapers. Hahahaha most of the people I hung around were religious people or women, pretty much all of them had actual lives. The funniest part about it though is when I got a job and a place to live XD oh my gawd people thought I was so insulting. I never understood those urine smelling people, how they just spent all their dollars on drugs and alcohol. I couldn't even afford a freaking bag of apples at times and yet these idiots were running around spending literally hundreds and sometimes even THOUSANDS of dollars on drugs and alcohol. Why is this I ask? I still wonder why to this day, and thats why I joke about it in profane ways because its stupid. Lol one thing that is just as funny as hobos are hippies. lol

And yeah, thats what I think because its mostly the truth. They do spend the money on drugs, cigs and alcohol. Most homeless people dont even want to try to get a job or go to a shelter because they know at shelters they wont be allowed their booze and drugs. Its sad that people think otherwise. I deal with enough of them in my neighborhood. If you offer them a sandwich they'll say no. Thats why they want direct money, for their substances.

It is a long time since I have seen any person on the streets, I live in a borough of London that is almost rural and we never have had them here, in London Central there are hundreds of them,and has always had them

Unfortunately, yes. That's why I don't give them money. I would rather buy them a sandwich. Then I know they are getting something that won't harm them.

I just feel pity that they have let themselves get in that position.
