Emergency! Betta with swollen stomach and more?! HELP?
My beta is a male, and is only about 8 months old. His stomach is HUGE. It's bigger than his head. Also, his scales peeled off one side so you can literally see INSIDE of him. I called petco and went to get BETTAFIX and freshwater aquarium electrolyte salts. I started using them yesterday. This afternoon, I noticed that there is a long, yellowish stick-like thing that looks like a hardened worm sticking out the side of his belly and underneath of him... HELP!! what do i do?!

try adding aquarium salt (1 tablespoon per 5 gallons) to prevent any infection and strengthen the immune system. a 25% water change and temperature of 80 degrees will also help.
