97 Nissan maxima breaks?
The front driver side break will not engage. The pump is working and will bleed the line at the caliper but the cylinder will not push the pads. How do I fix this.
**disclaimer** It is a friends car and while I've done hundreds of break changes I haven't seen this.

It might be the line to that caliper. They can develop a flap internally that will block the fluid from flowing. Feel than line for a sift spot. If you find one, that is the case.

I wish I could be of more help. But it's not my area. I'd just take it in and have the dealer or a mechanic look at it. Then depending on what they say and want to charge I'll get it fixed elsewhere. If it is something I care to do I will or I'll get a more reasonable person to repair/replace.

You have a seized caliper period, replacement only
Breaks apply to when something is of no longer useable, Brakes stop something moving

my samurai dojo's messed up your caliper, in revenge for what your ninja cats did
consider it a warning
but seriously i lean towards the caliber on this one.
