If I am not mistaken Zimmerman's lawyer has said they may file against the state to recoup expenses. It would be great to see the race baiters sued into destitution and be unable to stir up racism and force the US justice system to act on mob rule when it is not warranted.

No, he has no case. Especially against people like Obama and Sharpton.
Additionally, he really incurred no personal loss for legal fees. He paid for his lawyers through fundraising efforts, not from his own personal money. No actual loss means no damages on which to sue for.

First of all, the federal government did not bring the prosecution, so it has no liability in any event.
Unless there is a statute on the subject, there is generally no right to recover fees or damages as the result of an unsuccessful criminal prosecution.

I believe he had money to pay for his legal fees. Back in the beginning of his case, a paypal was set up for him to take donations.
If I recall correctly, he made a couple of hundred thousand bucks before societal reaction made him take it down.

Absolutely. He could file and probably win against the liberal media and the Martin family.

No. Trying to "spike the football" in this case would likely make sure someone kills Zimmerman.
