i just had a new asphalt driveway put in front of my house about 10 months ago, last sep.,?

as soon as the weather became WARM any car that is let to sit in the driveway leaves tire prints 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep...there are faint tracks left just from pulling the cars into the driveway..the "kickstand" on my bike made a hole after just a minute or two as did a close-drying rack that ways no more than 2-3 lbs even with the cloths on it.....in one are where one car has sat for an extended time[ 1-2 weeks] the asphalt has all but collapsed...I KNOW THIS IS NOT NORMAL EVEN IN HOT WEATHER: you dont see such problems in our asphalt street nor did any of my neighbors have such issues..Q QUESTION: what can be done to correct this short of spot patching? and if it is re rolled could this cause further problems..thank you...

ps. the driveway sits in the shade a good part of the day not that that should be an issue..i know many driveways that sit in the sun all day and don't have this problem... thank you..

Update:

the reading comprehension on this site continues to be abysmal...the QUESTIONS WAS ; "how do i correct the problem ?"..not what caused it.....

I KNOW THIS IS NOT NORMAL EVEN IN HOT WEATHER

You are WRONG. This is 100% normal for asphalt in hot weather. Your street is NOT asphalt. The street is primarily concrete with a thin layer of black coating. The ONLY way to fix your problem is to REMOVE the asphalt. As long as the surface of your driveway is asphalt, the issue WILL remain.

Note: patching won't even HIDE the issue.

Was the ground under the asphalt prepared with a proper 6" base course of compacted aggregate? Was the asphalt compacted with a vibrating road roller as it was cooling? If either of these were not done, it could explain the problems you are having now.
