What is it that the people protesting the verdict hope to change?

Don't they realize that they have no control over it and all the protesting in the world will not alter the evidence to their favor?

Update:

Liv, makes me wonder if they would prefer the system of china or North Korea.

I think they missed the evidence, or can't handle the truth.

They are protesting what they perceive as injustice in the manner in which the law is prosecuted in their country.

They are not trying to overturn the ruling via protest.

The same way people protested against gay marriage.

EDIT: Considering you cannot protest those systems, a functional brains says: No, they wouldn't prefer them.

They are protesting the verdict. They only wanted a guilty one and one that did not support the facts.

Like many who disagree with something they only want to see their side not factual or the one that the laws says is in place.
