What should I buy someone who likes to paint?

A gift card is always useful to an artist but you might want to buy her something more personal. If you know her favourite artist or style you can get her a nice art book for $50.

Seeing as how she already has painting supply I would ask her favorite artist. (Example) if it happens to be Vincent van Gough then buy her a copy of one of his most famous paintings "starry night". Jut ask her favorite artist or even her favorite painting. Don't blurt the question too close to her birthday because this will seem suspicious. Just say something like, "I was in this store and saw a magazine with a great painting. I don't know the name but it may be my favorite painting. What's your favorite painting or painter?" Just kind of edge toward what your getting at. I know this isn't the best idea but its the best I came up with.

Give her a gift card to a store that sells painting supplies.

I'd give her a recent catalog of David Hockney's art. it's such an encouragement to see a painter have a successful career in art for decades and still reinvent art and himself, including the use of new technology.

Gift card or something to organize her supplies.

Find out where she buys her art supplies and get her a gift certificate. I am a painter, and it always works out better when you buy your own art supplies.

Try and get her one of those cool decorating things, so you can paint and decorate it yourself, like lamps, a shelf, or something she can put around the house.

U can buy some perfect famous painting reproduction,that she can learn manything from it.

For example:paint style, color, ideas etc.
