in the magnetic flux equation what is dA?

i understand the equation reads Phi B=B.dA. but wats the dA?

    Area vector. It is a small area of the surface with its direction perpendicularly out ward to the surface

    dA is the change of the area (usually per time).

    It's used to calculate how much the flux changes for the whole object, based on what happens on very tiny portions all over the object, perpendicular to the magnetic field.
