Should I take the Brooklyn queens Expressway or go through Jersey?

I am driving from NH to Staten Island, and unfortunately I will be in the NY area around 330-430 (rush hour). I usually go through queens-brooklyn-verrazano bridge, but I have never driven at this time to staten island. Should I take the GW or Tappan zee bridge to jersey then cross over into staten island? or just take my traditional route?

    I-84 W > I-684 S >I 287 over the Tappan Zee Bridge

    Stay w/ I -287 as it turns South and then East

    SR 440 over Outherbridge Crossing
