I know this sounds stupid, but help?

I was playing around with a stapler and the staple shot through both of my thumbs really deep, so I pulled it out and was wondering if the material could hurt? and the possibility of getting an infection or something?

    Put alittle antiseptic/rubbing alcohol/peroxide on it and you shouldn't have to worry about infection or anything. Band aids are cool too. :)
