What degrees should I look at if interested in a career in advertising or journalism?

If you have any degree of talent, drive and want to have a future, then try marketing. if you are wanting to work at a entry level job and wages then by all means go forward to the dismal swamp of journalism or advertising. the term of advertising in respect to print media would be akin to a copy-writer. electronic journalism is comprised of people who could and maybe should be replaced by robots. communications also more properly term paid for liar. it is a field where if you can lie and convince people, you can earn a great deal of loot.

the career choices you have listed are all closely related, but for upward mobility and compensation, which seems to be the more intelligent path, Marketing. At least you did not suggest you want a degree psychology.

Maybe media studies or English. I would consider getting involved in your student newspaper if your interested in the journalism aspect and maybe writing articles for website.
