Natural way to repel chickens.?
I own some chickens, and they love to root up my garden. I need a way to keep them away from the garden. This garden is 50 square feet. I would prefer to not use fencing, because of the looks, and not to lock up my chickens, because of the size of my coop. Any natural way that will not cost a fortune is welcome.

If the chicken are rooting up the garden then MOST likely you have some kind of insect that needs rooting.
So, try scratching Diatomatious earth, FOOD GRADE into the garden, that should kill off most of the bugs that the chickens are interested in, with out killing the chickens.
But really if the chickens are working the ground, then you have an insect problem.
With out the chickens, in a week or two you will notice an insect problem develop.

You should get some crocodiles. According to my Grad School professor, that is the chicken's natural enemy.
