I use Skype. But I don't like it because of the format. I'd much rather use FaceTime.

I don't find it that bad when you use it a few times... Free Skype to Skype calls. I do not like Facetime, as it only works on Apple computers and phones.! (You can even get free Skype for an Apple phone.)

Depends on how you are thinking on using it. You have to remember Skype was born as a desktop app about 10-tears ago, and as such it's not the best smartphone app that there is out there. It's OK but too bulky, if you plan to use is as a chat app in a laptop/tablet then it's ok. For long distance there are tons of better apps (RingCredible, Localphone and Rebtel to name a few) with cheaper rates and higher quality calls.

Yeah, I often use Skype for social interactions. Wonderful app. However, for business meetings, I use RHUB`s web conferencing appliances as security and guaranteed attendance is what I need. It works flawlessly from behind my company's firewall.
