What happens if I start taking birth control?
If I take it now (I'm 16) will it affect my chances of pregnancy when I'm older and ready for a child?

Yes. long term use of birth control can have a minor or major impact on your future plans.. As it really messes with your hormones. Why are you having sex at such an early age? Be careful with that or getting or not getting pregnant will be the last of your worries when you get older. You get a disease of some kind that's permanent you'll be kicking yourself in the butt for years to come. And it's also a known fact that sex at a young age for women has a huge psychological impact on them later in life. If you must, make sure you're not sleeping around too much. Don't do it from peer pressure. And the kind of sex you see in movies is not exactly real life sex. That's perfectly choreographed sex scenes done at exactly the right moment of the movie. And while this does happen, it's rare. Behave yourself young lady so you can be happy in 10 years from now. :)

yes it will, my sister took birth control and when she tried to get prego she couldn't she kept getting miscarriages, so she had to adopt and that is a very long procedure!
my fried took birth control for her period and her thighs and hips got very big
where my other friend got bigger boobs
birth control doesn't always work, one of my friends got pregnant off of it but unfortunately a few weeks into pregnancy it passed away. The choice is yours, but I wouldn't take it because you might regret it, even if ur doctor says its safe. My doctor said I should take birth control to help my period but he said "I wouldn't recommend it I wouldn't give it to my kid because it can effect you in a way when your older"
hope this helped good luck

If that were the case, then the worlds population would not be what it is today.
You will be fine, just take it as stated, complete the pills cycle, take a week off to have your period, then take them again. If you do not however stop taking them and let yourself have a period, then it may cause damage.
