How long does it take for fish to be situated in a new tank?

I know they have to adjust but these guys aren't moving around the tank at all. They are all staying in certain spots. I have 3 glow light tetras, 1 albino glow light tetra, 1 red belly x-ray tetra, and 1 bamboo shrimp. The x-ray and the albino are hovering and slightly moving around a cave. The other tetras are brushing against one of the tank walls. And the bamboo shrimp is just chilling on the outside of the tank. Is there something wrong?

it usually takes from 2 days to 1 week for the fish to get use to the new tank. some new fish will stay at the same spot until they will get use to a new surroundings while other fish might swim around the tank or hide it .

also all tetra fish are shoaling fish . they need minimum to be kept in groups of 6, any less than that the tetra fish can become aggressive or stressed/lonely and be more prone to diseases. when the fish is in stress especially shoaling fish they don't feel safe and thats why they stay in same spot.

My suggestion is to make your tetras in proper shoals so they will get use to the tank quicker and feel more safer. also i hope your tank its at least 40 gallon minimum for a three types of shoaling fishes.
