Can I get a tan in Portland next week?

Going to be visiting a friend in Portland this week, this thursday and friday I will be at her house while she is at work. My question is, if I lay out in the sun in her backyard, will I get a tan?

I'm asking because I live in San Francisco and it is never warm enough to wear a swimuit on the beach because it never gets much higher than 70 degrees, all this week it has been a high of 62 degrees here. When I check the weather for Portland it shows mid 80s all week which sounds AMAZING! My friends seems to think I will be too cold to lay out in a swim suit...which I disagree with. So opinions? Tanning in Portland next week?

    I see people tanning this week. Mostly people who should be covered up in public.

    Temperature has no effect on whether or not you can "tan". Only requirement is exposing your skin to the sun without protection. Not healthy, of course, but, it's your body!

    Portland isn't known for always being sunny, though. You'll have to check the weather forecast [or look out the window!] when the time comes.

    Temperature has no effect on tanning. If the sun is out, you will get a tan.

    It's going to be sunny for at least the next week, probably longer.
