Did you know that breast cancer alone has many subsets?

    ER+

    ER-

    PR+

    PR-

    HER2+

    HER2-

    ER+/PR+ Her2-

    ER+/PR- Her2-

    ER+/PR+ Her2+

    ER+/PR+ Her2-

    ER-/PR- Her2+

    ER-/PR- Her2-

    ER-/PR+ Her2+

    ER-/PR+ Her2-

    There's Stage 0, 1, 2, 3, 4

    There's GRADE 1, 2, 3

    There's proliferative indexes to consider.

Two people with ER+ PR+ Her2- breast cancer can have completely different responses to treatment plans.

The Triple Negative Group has no known successful adjuvant treatment to help prevent recurrence.

All of these are JUST within breast cancer.

Other cancers look different, behave different and react different.

While we don't necessarily need different charities (The American Cancer Society covers all cancers.), people often donate to the cause that is close to their heart. If someone has no personal experience with colon cancer, but has personal experience with breast cancer, they are more likely to donate to breast cancer research.

@Oscar M . . . there are no clinically proven alternative treatments that have cured cancer. Those who make those claims either 1) never had cancer to begin with or 2) had both conventional and alternative treatment, but give all the credit to alternative. If a treatment is clinically proven to be successful, then it becomes a conventional treatment. Try putting all your alternative stuff in a clinical trial and see how they hold up. (There have been repeated attempts to replicate alternative claims, most to no avail.)

The different types of cancer are as different as 2 people can be. Some cancers are easy to cure or prevent. Others are almost 100% fatal by the time they can be detected. Researchers experiment with particular types of cancer. You can't treat leukemia like melanoma. If you did, all the patients would die.

Cancer is spread out all over the body and different types of cancer have different treatments, causes, fatality rates etc. There are some organizations that research for all types of cancer (American Cancer Society) but there are branches of charity that try to focus resources on a certain type (National Breast Cancer).

its a business. Go to you tube and browse all the natural cancer cures, and see how they have barred and jailed those with nonprofitable treatments. Its all about eating natural non processed foods. The genetic thing is a farce as well. Its about the processed junk food they marketing us.
