Period cramps ruining my plans?
Hi guys, I'm a 16 year old girl and I get very bad period cramps. They start of very mild but then get severe to where I can't go out and do anything. I have to lay in bed suffering with these cramps that hurt sooo bad. I usually take ibuprofen and that helps a little but then they'll start to come back. I just got my period right now and the cramps are not bad but I know they'll get really bad later on today. I was suppose to go out later and have fun with my friends but my cramps get so severe I can't even get up. Is there anything I can take better than ibuprofen? And is there any way I can get rid of the cramps? Sorry for it being long paragraph!

There are lots of over the counter medications specifically for period cramps and bloating. Ibuprofen is not for that, its just a general pain killer. You should try the meds for that purpose like pamprin for example.
If the over the counter ones are still not strong enough go to your family doctor and get a stronger one with a prescription. When I had my period the pain was so bad I was passing out and also could not move.
For now try elevating your legs and put a hot water bottle where it hurts to relieve the pain then once you feel up to it go get the meds for the pain I just mentioned.
