2004 Dodge Intrepid Coolant Air Bleeder: What material is this made of?

I had an issue with my Intrepid, where the engine overheated. When searching for a possible leak, I found what appears to be the coolant air bleeder at the top/front of the engine. It appears to be made of some type of composite material, because first, I found a piece of it, next, the whole side of it was blown out, due to pressure. When looking online for possible part, I found the air bleeder, but it doesn't look like a composite material; instead it appears to be cast iron, but it is only a photo, not an actual 3-D image. Does anyone have an experience with such a problem?

Update:

If you think you can assist me, please feel free to contact me, and I will send a photo of the part, still on the engine. thanks,

Most cars that I've worked on have an aluminum housing the upper radiator hose goes to and a brass bleeder screw in the top of the housing. Take your broken bleeder out with a vice grips and take it to an auto parts store or the dealer to match up the thread size.
