What is the best cleaning product to use on real wooded floors?

Hi, can someone please recommend a cleaning product, or home made remedy, to clean solid oak wood floors? I'm looking for a product that would also leave a shine. Thanks.

If they are newer, you can get a purpose made hardwood floor cleaner anywhere they sell hardwood flooring. If the finish is worn, you can rent a waxer/buffer machine and wax the floors.

While hardwood floor cleaning products made at shine to your floor, the coating that they leave is less than ideal. I recommend cleaning hardwood flooring with a more gentle solution of half water and half vinegar. This will clean your floors without damaging them or leaving a waxy film built up on the floor.
