    Does your father drink alcohol?

If he does, he should stop for a while.

My dad has gout also but the reason why he has it is because he drinks alcohol.

Have your dad consume only water and juice for a while and see if it helps.

Maybe he doesnt have enough vitamins in his body to help with the gout?

I wish you the best of luck! My dad has been having gout for more than 10 years now and as for my brother, he just got gout because of consuming alcohol. Sometimes you dont need to consume alot of alcohol in order to have gout.

I also heard that gout can occur due to the kidney not functioning well? But dont take my word on this. Maybe you can research on google about gout and how to ease the pain a little.

Home Remedies for Gout Tip 1: Eat 1 Apple after every meal. Tip 2: Squeeze the juice of ½ a lime in 1 glass of water. Drink this morning, noon and night. Tip 3: Extract ½ a cup of juice of French beans (String beans). Drink this juice everyday for a month.

Make sure he is not eating a lot of meat- this causes a buildup of Uric acid- and then causes gout to flare. Go to WebMd and read about gout. I hope he gets better soon.
