I always take at least an hour and a half to get ready and it's not because I wear so much makeup...?

...but it's because of my obsession about my hair. I wear the same hairstyle to class everyday, which is in a casual, "effortless" hair bun. I know it sounds stupid but as long as my hair doesn't look they way that I want it to be, I'd undo it and fix it again and again and again. I know it's a waste of time but I just can't help myself.

This had been going on for years of my life for as long as I could remember and I would always need to start getting ready at least two hours before leaving the house. And the only thing that I do to myself while getting ready is groom my brows and use some lip balm and sunblock. That's it.

How can I get rid of this obsession? I'm so angry at myself for being so foolish, but I really need help...

I take so long getting ready too, even when i dont wear so much make up. I just go sloth pace on everything i'm reaching for or looking for and moving around.

Edit: oh yeah lol the answer. Okay so i can help you, first it all starts with what time your alarm goes off...now you have to keep in mind and be honest with yourself "am i really going to wake up or tell myself '5 more minutes'?". I always have an alarm for when im supose to get up but knowing the whole "sleep a lil more" i put another alarm 10-15 min later. When i wake up i go stright to the shower, no sitting on bed. Put a clock hanging in your bathroom so when you shower you know how many min is being used on what. When you get out look at how much time you have left. Remmeber when you do something theres a good possiblity you can also do something eles. Do the one thing that is most important to you first. Btw if you havnt planned what to wear do it while in the shower but dont doze off. Brush your brows first to make sure its good, then your lips. Then sunblock is last of course. Remember dont waste so much time on something that wont turn out right, finish your other "easy" stuff first before you fix the task thats having issues so you wont feel rushed at the easy tasks.

Source(s): Not a morning person at all, this is my morning routine and i'm never late for school...except when i WANT to be late(i have my "i dont care" days). EVERY minute starting from when you wake up counts. EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE.

Hi sweetie, nothing wrong with being obsessed with your hair! You just have to be smarter about it!

If you want a great looking bun try a roll up!

    http://www.beautylish.com/a/vcvzi/how-to-sock-bun

They're sexy, and really effortless! If you have short hair it takes about 5 minutes to put it in three times! You can make one with a sock, or go on eBay and a buy a hair accessory for it for abotu $1.50. I would recommend you to try the sock first as it is easier and you won't have to wait as long.

Challenge yourself to a new hairstyle a day, and double that challenge by timing how long you take to perfect your hair!

Target to complete it in, say half an hour if you usually take an hour now, or 15 mins if you take half an hour.

We can give you tonnes of suggestions, but you have to fight the obsession yourself! :) Good luck!
