Bottled water for reducing water hardness?

This is probably the cheapest option I have to reduce water hardness in my 30gal. The water hardness is over 200ppm and I can't afford a deionizer and I can't have Reverse Osmosis installed in the house. The kind of water I hoped to use for softening the water is "5litre Ashbeck Still mineral water" - obviously more than one bottle of it which is something like 2 for £2.50 or something... and I only plan to alternate between tap water and this bottled water, so one week or two weeks - 20% water change with tap water, the next two weeks water change with bottled water and so on. Would this be harmful to the future fish (still cycling my tank for them at the moment, it's been cycling for 13 days) or could I do this? I really don't have another option as far as reducing water hardness goes.

Update:

Neither Pet Smart or Petco exist in the UK. I have never seen anything of the such in the big pet store (Pets At Home) here. I did post about a water purifier/deionizer - to no avail - that I am able to get online but cartridges for that product are expensive.

I've done what you're proposing and it worked well for me. Except I'd mix the two during water changes. Using RO water one week and tap water the next water change could cause problems when doing it with fish. Don't change it all at one time you wanna try and keep as much bacteria as possible for the days you've already cycled.
