No. If you read the article the President was just saying what reporters had said to him about his policies. There was no policy making being done. The President also said that there were some Republicans who agree with his policies but they fear retaliation from their party. Making policy based on fear of retaliation from your own political party is absolutely disgusting.

Policy making is brought to us by the elected officials. There are supposed to work for the public since we are the ones who foot the bill or pay their salary. Unfortunately the policy making of the past 30 years have fallen into organizations like ALEC who is a union, corporations pay dues in return for Lobbying services. They have designed laws that through congress have passed word for word.

GOP elected officials do not work for the people any more. They have shifted their efforts to make sure financial assets floats toward the upper 15% of the population who, at this time controls 85% of the wealth of this country. While 85% of the population competes and fights for the remaining 15% of the wealth.

Granted, some of those who are in the upper 15% do recognize that laws a policies are unfair & they are trying to change it but without our support it will be a great battle.

The media expresses the views of those who pay their salaries. It is business for profit. However, some organizations do inform the public of what is going on. But the public may not be as involved as they should.

No. But it is an infinite loop ...

ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,NPR,MSNBC, NY Times, Time Magazine, Huffington Post, The Washington Post, The Democratic Party, The Democratic White House ... are all one unit. The state-controlled media.

They go by a daily playbook called the "White House Press Releases".

People tend to like ideas that they agree with. If Obama found a group of people who didn't care about the issue and won them over to his side then that would be much more impressive.
