Does chlorophyll work in dead plants?
Say for instance, I blend grass in a blender of some sort and add in water. If I store it in some kind of container, will it remain a greenish color, and if so, for how long?

It will stay green for a while, but it will not be working!!
For the various "life processes" to work requires the complex organization of molecules and organelles that is provided by the intact cell. Once the cells are disrupted, those activities are no longer possible - same as if you disrupted a computer or an engine, they would no longer function.
The chlorophyll would stay green for a while, but would eventually be bleached by the sun and broken down by the various substances released by the broken cells,
