Oily skin makeup help?

I have really oily skin. After I wash my face it's pretty good but even when I don't put on moisturizer and makeup it eventually gets super oily on my cheeks and forehead and nose. I like wearing makeup though but it's just annoying because it makes my skin even more oily than it already is. As does moisturizer. I find myself washing my face throughout the day and reapplying makeup because the oil takes it right off. Are there any products that you recommend I can use to make my skin last longer or any makeup techniques to help it? Right now I just wear a light powder from Cover Girl. I have tried Bare Minerals and I like it because it's light weight but it doesn't help at all with the oil. I also don't like wearing a lot of products at once on my skin because it gets heavy with my oily skin.

You shouldn't be washing your face that often- only twice (in the morning once and then at night once). Oily skin can be caused by overdrying your skin (washing it so often and not using moisturizer will dry your skin out like crazy!) If I were you I'd start using a hydrating moisturizer twice a day. I'd take my makeup off before bed (make sure you take makeup off and then wash your face. the residue from the remover is not good). I would also start using a moisturizer (nothing with salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide in it) and I would use a hydrating mask once a week. Hydrating is key to healthy skin, no matter what your skin type.

Ok, first of all, I totally relate because my skin gets SUPER SHINY and OILY too. So what I use is from the Body Shop and it's a tea tree toner that mattifies and it works pretty well, and I use the Welcome Matte moisturizer from the Dermalogica Clean Start line. Also, I carry blotting papers with me EVERYWHERE so if you need to dab some of that oil off halfway through the day, you can. P.S. the products I mentioned feel super light on my skin.

You could start changing your diet and take out greasy food. I saw an immediate hange in the oiliness of my skin after that and I would suggest upping the amount of water you drink. There are also cream foundation with a matte finish. You could also use a mattifying primer to help with the oil. If your skin does get oily you could carry around blotting sheets

Wash your face morning and night with a gentle face wash. At night after you wash your face use a toner. Then both morning and night use a light moisturizer. Once a week use a face mask. By using a gentle face wash it wont strip you natural oils and make your face oilier.

    Products I recommenced

Basis face wash or Simple face wash

    Simple toner

Burt bees sensitive skin daily moisturizer for morning. Olay complete night fortifying moisture cream

    Queen helene mint julep masque

For makeup I use Revelon colorstay then Rimmel stay matte pressed powder It helps control my oil.

Also you can try Garnier bb cream for oily skin that also works for me and it has good coverage. Dont apply foundation with hands use a brush.
