Scared to have sexual intercourse?
I am 18 and my boyfriend is 19. In December, we will be dating for 4 years. I am afraid of the following...
- Getting pregnant
- My mother finding out
- Being extremely painful
- etc etc
I am terrified of what my mom will think of me. I know I shouldn't matter, but I am very very close to my mom.
Also, what if we go to the gynecologist and they see that I'm not a virgin?
I am also so scared to get pregnant. I don't want to use birth control, but I am planing on using condoms and spermicide.
Please give me your input/suggestions.

Condoms and birth control are your basic options but those do not suggest you are one hundred percent safe from becoming pregnant but they can keep you safe to about ninety nine percent safe so they say but then again they are not that thrilling but if you are worried like you say then they are the best option as of now for you
As for your mom finding out that you're having sex at 18 shouldn't really shock her unless she is very uptight. Sex is natural so don't let anyone not even yourself belittle you or tell you that it's wrong and that means you should not fear judgment from any doctor because they know as well as anyone that it's typical or normal and they are there for your well being and you have confidentiality between you both
Sex for some on their first time can be painful but it's a beautiful type of pain.
Don't ask me..... it's said that guys find the pain that females are in during sex very alluring.

First and most important is the birth control. Why not use the "patch", it has less hormones than other contraceptives and you change it once a week. That way you're not apt to forget.
You have been with this guy for 4 years, which means you were only 14 when you two started dating.
Life's lesson: You must speak to your Mum about it seeing you have such a close relationship. Never lie about something important....she'll understand.
If you are totally relaxed and love this guy it should not be painful, as he will be gentle. Condoms are not 100% safe, and for the first time are not a good idea because of added friction.

If you are using a condom (as you said), the chances of you getting pregnant are slim to none. To further reduce the chances, don't let your boyfriend ejaculate inside of you- even if he is wearing a condom
I really don't know how your mother will find out unless you tell her or she walks in on you. So.. don't tell her and don't do it in her vicinity...
The first time is a bit painful, but only for the first minute or so- not even. After you get into the groove of things, it stops hurting completely
If your hymen gets torn and you go to your OBGYN anytime afterwards, there are things you can tell them. For example, you use tampons instead of pads and they're what most likely tore your hymen. Or tell them you're a gymnast or go horseback riding a lot.
However, you are 18, you know. You are an adult and can make your own decisions, you don't need to explain to anyone why you had sex.
Also, it seems like you're not ready. If this doesn't feel right, DON'T DO IT. Only do it when you feel good about it, I'm sure your boyfriend will understand

Don't have sex until YOU are ready and comfortable with it. Not when your boyfriend is or when your mom is. When YOU are.
End of story.
