Uninstall Windows 8 & install another Program ?
Recently bought a Laptop with Windows 8 system ,which in my opinion is a pain up the bum .Could 8 be uninstalled and another program ie-Vista or 7be installed in its place . and how much would a computer store charge me ,assuming this is possible to do.

|Hi how are you I would go out and buy a windows 7 disk and install it yourself there are many videos on YouTube that willing to help you if you get stuck

If yopu have the Win 7 installation disc, you can easily do it yourself. A store would probably charge aboy £30 plus the cost of the Microsoft system to do it for you.
Unless you use it for gaming, you could install Linux instead which is free.

you mean you want to "Downgrade" your Laptop from Windows 8 to Windows 7 or Vista.
First of all: if you need Windows 7 or Vista you need to buy them again, now a days you can find them for the cheapest Prices on Amazon or Ebay.
like you, i'm not a big fan of Windows 8 but i strongly recommended to stuck with it because of the performance, stability, new Technologies, UEFI Boot, integrated anti virus, and newer drivers.
if you don't like the Windows 8 start screen you can download this 3rd party programs that brings back the old start menu and disables the Windows 8 start screen without downgrading to older versions of Windows.

PS: if you need to really downgrade to older versions of windows just try to avoid Windows Vista..[ its a long story] :p

I dont like Windows 8 is well. Take it to where you bought it from they might do something.
