A primary reference for world coins is Krause's Catalog of World Coins. They are separated by century so if you can at least guess as to the what century that would narrow things down. They are also fairly expensive books so go to a local library and see if they have any copies in the reference section. Don't worry if the books are a few years old as the prices of world coins do not change all that much except in the case of truly rare coins.
Local coin dealers and members of a local coin club might also be able to help you identify them and value them.
